A few local metal distros deserve some space. So here they are; enjoy.
The Cave
This distro is run by Damon Good (musician extraordinaire, member of Mournful Congregation, Stargazer, Misery’s Omen, Cauldron Black Ram, The Esoteric Connexion, blah blah blah). If you want recordings or merch for any of the above bands, plus other kick-arse underground bands besides, hit up The Cave.
Their current special is any Mournful Congregation, Stargazer or Cauldron Black Ram CD with any Mournful Congregation, Stargazer or Cauldron Black Ram T-shirt together for $40 Aus/ $50 US/ 40 Euro.
The Coffins Slave
This distro is primary a vinyl distro, but Hushy also sells CDs, merch, tapes, zines and so on. Hushy was responsible for that killer recent show, Evil Invaders III, and has his fingers in numerous other brutal pies.
Some of their latest stock includes vinyl by Black Oath, Abysmal Grief, Hellbringer, Portal, Slough Feg, Candlemass and shitloads more.
Metal Massacre
This mail-order is run by Nik, formerly of Just Say Rock. If you want no other reason to look here, postage is free within Australia. On everything.
Metal Massacre are promoting the upcoming Blind Guardian tour, and they are selling tix for this; but they also stock CDs, DVDs, merchandise, and vinyl.
There is so much here (big-label plus underground) that I don’t know where to start. You’ll just have to go look for yourself.
